The Approaching Storm

The Evening Sky Wadi Ze'elim 

Leaving Wadi Ze'elim onto Hyw 90 we had to drive through the flash flood debris.

We went up to Masada.

Clouds were still brewing. We left the fortress down to highway 90 intending to go north to the Galilee but the road had closed to traffic.  We could only travel south so went to highway 31 up Wadi Boqeq going west towards Arad. But the highway was flooded also. We turned back down the mountain over to a safe roadside observation point. The two video clips at the bottom of this page are recordings of the flood.

We traveled through Arad to camp at the beach in Ashkelon. But the park attendant informed us that all parks in Israel were closed due to severe weather. I have never heard of this happening in all of my numerous visits to Israel. Unprecedented! It is a sign!

It is the sign I mention April 19, 2018 of Israel's 70th Birthday from the Scripture Isaiah 7:1-14 especially vs. 11 " Ask you a sign of the Lord yout God; ask it either in the depth,  or in the height above. " .....vs. 14"Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel."
