Montmartre

Paris, France

Chapter 6

France ancient land of the Celts and Gauls where the King Vercengeterix a giant was conquered by the Roman Caeser who considered himself a descendant of the goddess Venus. In the legends of this ancient history we find incursions of a fallen angel, with women who birthed their children calling them gods or demi-gods that is nephilim. It is believed the druids also had a sacred worship site there prior to the Romans. Later history St. Dennis tried to evangelise the Gallo-Romans

by whom he was beheaded. On the hill formerly called the Mont de Mars he was buried the hill renamed Mont des Martyrs.

I was staying at a modest pension next to the farmers market that supplies the city of Paris with their daily food. I had a dream about a Texas man that I had met in Jerusalem on Ben Judah street who was preaching the gospel. In my dream, he was encouraging me by saying that he was with me.

I arose that morning to go into the city for a day of intercession on Montmarte martyrs mount at the chapel of St. Dennis. As I walked to the Metro I was ascertaining how or what to pray.

Ahh yes St. Ignatius of Loyola, St Francis Xavier and five other companions made vows in the Martyrium of St. Dennis that began the order of the Jesuits. Later King Louis VI purchased the Merovingian chapel founding a church, abbey, the benedictine order, and a small chapel called the Martyrium.

In addition Montmartre was the site of the french revoloutions beginings. Currently, it is know for it's village charm, artists, cafes, cabarets and the red-light district of Pigalle.

Let the Climb begin.

I got off the metro stop at the base of the hill to prayer walk the 222 stairs to Sacre Coeur chapel, the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

I ascended the beautiful stairs with fabulous views of Paris stopping often to regather my energy especially the anointing energy of the Holy Spirit. Almost to the chapel of Sacre Coeur there is a semi-circle of stairs that open the visual beauty of the chapel for the hiker. I took a few steps to the left when suddenly there appeared descending directly before me an extremely tall beautiful couple. They were so elegantly dressed I am sure they had their own dressmaker/tailor. They focused their eyes on me with power, supernatural authority and challenge. I stopped in my tracks as they flew by me. Indeed it was a supernatural encounter challenging me spiritually.

I continued up the stairs to the Sacred Heart church going into the vestibule to continue in prayer. I had just circular walked the dome. I sat down when the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit surrounded me.

It was incredible as I “knew” I had flushed out and overcome ruling spirits of that place embodied in the tall “giant” beautiful people on the steps.

How do we know these things? The are spiritually ascertained.

As an addendum Paris is full of witchcraft and the occult. A movie line I once heard said thus about Paris, “Satan may not have been born there but he certainly grew up there.”
