Ashdod

Chapter 2

Ashdod

Anakim Giant

Chapter 2 Caleb's Daughter

The Anakim were a race of giants from Araba who lived in the southern parts of Canaan land near Hebron who later inhabited Edom and Moab. The were considered nephilim descended from Anak that were later expelled from the land except for the Philistine cities of Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod.

It is likely as the descendants of Cain that the Anakim brought their gods from Mesopotamia and therefore from the gods of the ancient text The Epic of Gilgamesh. The epic legends of the gods included their descendant demi-gods progeny the Anakim.

The god of storms, commerce, and war was Enlil. His son Dagon was the father of Baal god of storms, commerce, and grains. So what does this prove? The ancient powers of darkness continually pursue the people of God Almighty to cause them to sin by worshiping false gods.

Dagon was the god of the Philistines who morphed into the fish god Dagon but originally he served as a god of storms, commerce, grains, and perhaps war. Not until the time of the Judge Samson did deliverance come to the Israelis as the temple of Dagon came down opening the way for the retaking of the Ark of the Covenant back to the Israelites.

Let the Assignment begin. I was staying in Jerusalem when early in the morning I hoped in my rental car for Ashdod. I had communion and prayers before leaving so I was tanked. Accompanied by angels. I was worshiping on my way to the Philistine lands. Arriving at the beach Citadel site I only stayed briefly. I continued praying until I reached Yam Ashdod where there was a fenced in archaeological site. I stopped to pray. I got out of the car to look at the huge foundation stones that were submerged into the ocean. It looked as though an earthquake (Uzziah's?) had sunk into the sea whatever large probably imposing structure (Dagon's temple?) had been there,

I continued to pray until I had a release. I then drove down the beach front Sederot Moshe Dayan road where the houses were locked up, shut up, without movement at all. Pray, pray, praying.

I continued towards the city looking for a phone shop to top up my minutes. I came to a round about with sure enough a phone shop. I parked and walked into the shop. While I was waiting for a clerk to help me a very tall man over seven feet hurriedly came speaking rapid Hebrew. He rudely cut in front of me but I just waited patiently. The clerk informed the tall manthat he had been helping me before he came into the shop.

The man was very Russian looking blond hair blue eyes seemingly middle age in good physique. He turned asking me in flawless unaccented English how much of a phone card was I going to purchase? I said, “Fifty shekels” “Oh,” he said, “That is not very much.” Implying that he was a bigger shekel customer than I was therefore it was ok for him to cut in front of me well because he was also in a hurry and probably important. I thoughtfully replied, “I suppose it is all how you look at it.” He began laughing appreciating the clever response. I got my card leaving the shop to return to Jerusalem.

I sensed this man did not have an ordinary human spirit but a blood line nephilim giant.

My prayer assignment was to request that the Lord would bring back the glory of His ark of Covenant to His temple the people of God. I believe I had through prayer flushed out my opposition.

Jos 14:14 Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.
