C: They (Kay & Dan) had a water trough spicket right by the border I mean right by the border. He had a sign that said Turn Off. Please use but turn off. Well they (illegals coming through the border) kept it on one time and it ran the well dry water pump la-la-la. So he put a lock on it. Took the sign off. But they knew it was there. But he got shot over it.

Kathleen “And they killed him huh?”

C: “Dead”

Kathleen “So what did his wife do?”

C: “His wife found him a couple of hours later. She was on horseback. She was on the back 40. She come in saw him over a barrel. Saw him over a barrel.”

C: “She called the Sheriff's department. Sheriff's department came out. They had game cameras. The border patrol came out. Nobody did nothin. Not one thing.

Kathleen “So what did that force them to do?”

C:” Nothin.”

Kathleen: “Did she get rid of some of the cattle?”

C:”Oh no. Oh K?

Kathleen: “Yeah.”

C: “Oh no. I helped her move her stuff down to Casa Grand.”

Kathleen: “To save her place. Especially now that she was a widower.”

C: “Away from the freakin border,”

C: “Casa Grande is not that nice either.”

Kathleen:”So nobody ever did anything about it over the murder.”

C: “No nothing,”

Kathleen: “So that's not ok!
