Rosh Hashana

is known as Yom Teru'ah the "Feast of Trumpets"

and is  also called "Yom ha-Zikaron" the "Day of Remembrance"Lev 23:24

Description:

It is commanded to blow the shofar (teruah) to coronate God as King of the Universe.

 Description:

The destiny of the righteous Tsaddikim, are written in the Book of Life on Rosh Hashanah and the destiny of the wicked resha'im are written in the Book of Death. However most will not be written on that day but have ten days until Yom Kippur to repent before their fate is sealed. Aseret Yemei Teshuvah the Ten Days of Repentance between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur when everyone's name will be sealed.
